Overview

What is Rheumatoid Arthritis?

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a systemic autoimmune disorder where the immune system attacks the synovial lining of joints, causing progressive inflammation, pain, and if untreated, irreversible joint destruction and deformity. Unlike osteoarthritis, RA often affects multiple joints symmetrically — most commonly the hands, wrists, and knees.

Scope

Conditions Treated

We offer targeted therapies for a wide spectrum of related autoimmune and inflammatory conditions to ensure comprehensive relief.

  • 01Seropositive and seronegative Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • 02Early-onset RA within the therapeutic window of opportunity
  • 03Advanced RA with joint erosions
  • 04RA with extra-articular complications (lungs, eyes, heart)
  • 05Refractory RA not responding to conventional DMARDs
Eligibility

Who May Need This?

1

Patients experiencing symmetrical joint pain and swelling in small joints

2

Individuals with morning stiffness lasting more than 45–60 minutes

3

Patients with positive Anti-CCP or Rheumatoid Factor (RF) tests

4

Those with a family history of autoimmune arthritis

5

Patients previously treated elsewhere without adequate remission

Mechanism

How Does It Work?

Our Treat-to-Target (T2T) protocol begins with precise diagnosis using Anti-CCP antibody testing, high-sensitivity CRP, and musculoskeletal ultrasound Doppler to detect sub-clinical synovitis. We then stratify disease activity (DAS28 scoring) and initiate targeted DMARD therapy. Patients not achieving remission at 3 months are escalated to biological therapy — Anti-TNF, Anti-IL-6, or JAK inhibitors — under close monitoring in our daycare infusion suite.
